Moira Rough Story Outline

Fairies are frolicking, chatting off in the distance on a sunny morning while a young bat-fairy , Moira, looks on curiously, anxiously wanting to approach the group. She peaks around the corner of her cave, and then thinks to herself how she might approach them. Bing! She has an idea.

She flies up to them and waves, putting on her biggest grin in an attempt to say hello. Seeing her sharp teeth, they get scared and fly off. She frowns to herself and thinks again. She tries various antics in an attempt to make friends with these other fairies, from showing off her wings, hanging upside down, and even bringing them an insect she likes to eat. On all occasions, the other fairies are a little perturbed by what to them is rather strange behavior.

After a whole day of attempting to impress them, she is somewhat disappointed. Thinking she should just head in for the night, she gloomily retreats back to her cave. On the way, however, she spots a flower not far from her dwelling. Of course! She quickly gathers it up and flies to the other fairies before they go to bed, pushing it forward and smiling at them. Confused why Moira is offering them a flower that hasn’t even bloomed, they look at her oddly. Just as night falls and the moon lights up the night, the flower begins to bloom. They are amazed by the moonflower and Moira finally succeeds in impressing her new fairy friends.

  1. Although the story is rough, I hope you can get all the time out of it you can for the animation... There doesn't seem to be much content wise, although it is 'short and sweet and to the point'. Maybe show the audience all the gestures of friendship Moira attempts? Maybe create some other form of conflict to push the story a little (cat/bird/large insect trying to catch them)?
